BURCH, GEORGE & GERMANY ACTIVE IN COMMUNITY

Just as we believe in doing our utmost for our clients, the attorneys of Burch, George & Germany have a proud record of serving the community. For years, members of the law firm have worked with nonprofit organizations to ensure that everyone, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity for a fulfilling life. Our attorneys are deeply involved in helping to strengthen the community through a number of local organizations. Here are a few of the philanthropic efforts that the firm’s attorneys are especially dedicated to:

Friday Night Christmas Lights

The team at Burch, George & Germany is constantly inspired by the perseverance, teamwork, and camaraderie of young athletes in Oklahoma. That’s why we created a resource center to help encourage any aspiring football star to do his best on the field and prepare for his future. In January 2015, we were pleased to award two Oklahoma youth football players with a $250 gift card for gear as well as a sponsorship to the football camp of their choice. We collected nominations from the community and were astounded at the level of commitment young men all across the state had when it comes to the love of the game and their school. The two that stood out the most were Walker Graves, a student at Adair High School in Adair, Oklahoma and Cassidy Whitaker, a student at Sunset Elementary School in Edmond, Oklahoma. We are wishing Walker, Cassidy, and their families the most prosperous future as they pursue their football dreams!

Oklahoma Lawyers for Children

We are proud to be part of Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, which provides legal representation to children in the Juvenile Division of the Oklahoma County District Court. Through this organization, the lawyers of Burch, George & Germany volunteer our services for free to provide children with excellent legal assistance. Our attorneys appear in Juvenile Court and participate in jury trials on behalf of children in state custody.

Downed Bikers Association

As motorcycle riders ourselves, we have an affinity for the Oklahoma Downed Bikers Association. This nonprofit organization provides emotional and financial support to those injured in motorcycle crashes and their families. The Association holds benefit runs and other events throughout the year to raise funds for the families of fallen bikers. Burch, George & Germany is glad to bolster that aid by making monthly donations to the cause. The firm believes that most motorcycle riders are conscientious and law-abiding. They deserve fair and compassionate treatment if they are involved in car crashes. Members of the firm have assisted tornado victims with insurance claims and helped avert a deficiency judgment against a client facing foreclosure. We also volunteer at local churches, schools, food banks and animal shelters. We donate time and give financially to groups such as the American Heart Association, Cancer Research Institute, Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, Lawyers Fighting Hunger, United Way, Salvation Army, Cystic Fibrosis Association, Limbs for Life, Feed the Children, Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters and American Red Cross.
